How it is measured

1. RP's Discord feed open on one screen. The Vinted app open on another, with the same brand filter applied and results sorted newest first.
2. The app is refreshed continuously.
3. When an alert arrives, its timestamp is noted. The app is refreshed until the same listing appears, and that time is noted.
4. The difference is the head start. Across UK listings it is typically 4 to 7 seconds. It varies by category, time of day and how busy Vinted is, and occasionally it falls outside that range in either direction.

Why the gap exists

Vinted processes a new listing through several stages before it shows in search and the public feed. RP's monitor picks the listing up at an earlier stage of that pipeline than the app's feed does. When you refresh the app, the listing has already been visible to RP members for several seconds.
