eBay Bot UK: Find Underpriced Listings Before Everyone Else

What an eBay bot is, and what it isn't

Resellers use "eBay bot" for two completely different tools, so it is worth separating them before going further.

• An eBay monitor (what most people mean by eBay bot): software that continuously checks eBay for new listings, tests each one against filters you set, and alerts you when something matches. It is about being first to see a listing.
• eBay alerts: the notifications the monitor sends. RP delivers them as Discord DMs.
• An eBay sniper: a different tool that places a bid on an auction in its last few seconds so nobody can outbid you. It is about winning auctions, not finding listings.

RP's tool is a monitor. It does not bid, and it does not buy. The reason is simple: the money on eBay for resellers is in underpriced Buy It Now listings, where the first person to open the listing and pay gets it, and in badly listed items that most buyers never find. A monitor with sharp filters wins both. A sniper helps with neither.

Why eBay's own saved searches are too slow

eBay lets you save a search and email you when new items match. It is designed for a collector waiting for a rare record, not for someone who needs to be first. Three problems:

1. The emails are batched. A saved-search email usually arrives hours after the listings went live, sometimes the next morning. A mispriced Buy It Now lasts minutes.
2. The filters are eBay's, not yours. You get eBay's category and price boxes. You cannot exclude words, combine several conditions, or run twenty searches side by side without twenty emails.
3. Everyone gets the same email. Every buyer with the same saved search is told at the same time, so you are competing with all of them from the moment it lands.

A monitor checks continuously, applies your exact filters, and sends each match on its own, seconds after it appears, to a place you will actually see it.

How the RP eBay monitor works

Matching listings arrive in your DMs within seconds of appearing on eBay. The exact gap moves with the category and how busy eBay is at the time.

We want to be precise about one thing. On Vinted, RP's monitor surfaces listings 4-7 seconds before the Vinted app shows them, and we publish how that is measured. We make no equivalent claim for eBay. The eBay advantage is different: you are not refreshing search pages, your filters are far sharper than eBay's, and the listing reaches you the moment it is indexed rather than in the next batched email. Against a buyer relying on saved searches, that is a head start measured in hours. Against a buyer sat refreshing one search, it is the difference between watching one search and watching five, newest first, without touching your phone.

The Pokémon eBay monitors

• Pokémon singles. Graded and raw cards. Each alert shows the listing price, the estimated market price for that exact card and grade, and the percentage under, with links to the card's listed and sold history on eBay.
• Sealed Pokémon. The same comparison for booster boxes, ETBs, tins and collections listed at or below what they sell for.

The listings that make money on eBay are the ones other buyers never see. These are the searches members run most, with the reason each one works.

Knowing what it will sell for

An alert is only useful if you know the resale value in the seconds you have. Three tools cover it:

• Price Check, built into the same Discord panel: choose a condition, type the title, add whitelist or blacklist words if you need them, and it returns the live average sold price. Do it once when you set the monitor up and you know your ceiling.
