eBay Bot UK: Find Underpriced Listings Before Everyone Else
The RP eBay monitor watches eBay UK for new listings that match a search you set up and DMs you each one the instant it appears. This page explains what an eBay bot is, what it isn't, how ours works, and what members hunt with it.
Join Resellers ParadiseIn short: an eBay bot, in reselling, is software that watches eBay for new listings matching filters you set and alerts you the instant one appears. It finds; it does not bid or buy. The Resellers Paradise (RP) eBay monitor takes an eBay search link plus optional whitelist words, watches UK listings newest-first, and DMs you each match on Discord instantly, up to 5 monitors per member, with a Price Check command for live average sold prices. Shared Pokémon channels also flag every new singles or sealed listing that is under recent sold prices. It is included in RP membership at £25 a month with the Vinted monitor, the Depop monitor and everything else.
What an eBay bot is, and what it isn't
Resellers use "eBay bot" for two completely different tools, so it is worth separating them before going further.
- An eBay monitor (what most people mean by eBay bot): software that continuously checks eBay for new listings, tests each one against filters you set, and alerts you when something matches. It is about being first to see a listing.
- eBay alerts: the notifications the monitor sends. RP delivers them as Discord DMs.
- An eBay sniper: a different tool that places a bid on an auction in its last few seconds so nobody can outbid you. It is about winning auctions, not finding listings.
RP's tool is a monitor. It does not bid, and it does not buy. The reason is simple: the money on eBay for resellers is in underpriced Buy It Now listings, where the first person to open the listing and pay gets it, and in badly listed items that most buyers never find. A monitor with sharp filters wins both. A sniper helps with neither.
Why eBay's own saved searches are too slow
eBay lets you save a search and email you when new items match. It is designed for a collector waiting for a rare record, not for someone who needs to be first. Three problems:
- The emails are batched. A saved-search email usually arrives hours after the listings went live, sometimes the next morning. A mispriced Buy It Now lasts minutes.
- The filters are eBay's, not yours. You get eBay's category and price boxes. You cannot exclude words, combine several conditions, or run twenty searches side by side without twenty emails.
- Everyone gets the same email. Every buyer with the same saved search is told at the same time, so you are competing with all of them from the moment it lands.
A monitor checks continuously, applies your exact filters, and sends each match on its own, seconds after it appears, to a place you will actually see it.
How the RP eBay monitor works
The monitor runs on RP's servers. There is nothing to install beyond Discord, which is where the alerts arrive.
Watch
RP's servers watch the eBay searches you have added, newest listed first, UK item location
Match
Each new listing is checked against your search link and any whitelist words that must be in the title
DM
A match is DM'd to you instantly with the photo, price, a link to eBay sold prices and a View on eBay button
Buy
Open the link in the eBay app and buy it now, before anyone browsing has seen it
Monitors are personal. Unlike the shared Vinted channels, your eBay monitors send to your own DMs, so nobody else in the community sees the listings you are watching for. Select the Vinted & eBay Monitors role in Discord and the panel above appears with its four buttons.
Speed, honestly
Matching listings arrive in your DMs within seconds of appearing on eBay. The exact gap moves with the category and how busy eBay is at the time.
We want to be precise about one thing. On Vinted, RP's monitor surfaces listings 4-7 seconds before the Vinted app shows them, and we publish how that is measured. We make no equivalent claim for eBay. The eBay advantage is different: you are not refreshing search pages, your filters are far sharper than eBay's, and the listing reaches you the moment it is indexed rather than in the next batched email. Against a buyer relying on saved searches, that is a head start measured in hours. Against a buyer sat refreshing one search, it is the difference between watching one search and watching five, newest first, without touching your phone.
Filters
| eBay search link | Build the search on eBay with every filter you want (category, condition, price range, Buy It Now or auction, free postage), then paste the URL. Whatever the link filters, the monitor filters. Set the price ceiling below resale minus fees and every alert is profitable on paper. |
|---|---|
| Whitelist words | Optional words that must appear in the listing title, on top of the search. Leave blank to get every result from the link. |
| Item location | Always UK only. |
| Sort order | Newest listed, applied automatically, so you always see the freshest listings first. |
| Limit | 5 monitors per member. Pick your five best niches. |
| Price Check | Separate button: choose a condition, type the title, add optional whitelist or blacklist words, get the live average sold price. |
Five monitors per member, so choose the niches you know best. The same system runs your Vinted and Depop monitors, so together they cover the three main UK marketplaces.
Real alerts from the monitor
Two alerts as they arrived in Discord, unedited. The first is a custom monitor; the second is one of the Pokémon channels.
The Pokémon eBay monitors
Alongside the personal monitors, RP runs two shared Pokémon channels that do something the custom monitors cannot: they price every new listing against recent sold prices the moment it appears, and only post the ones that are under market.
- Pokémon singles. Graded and raw cards. Each alert shows the listing price, the estimated market price for that exact card and grade, and the percentage under, with links to the card's listed and sold history on eBay.
- Sealed Pokémon. The same comparison for booster boxes, ETBs, tins and collections listed at or below what they sell for.
You do not set these up. Pick the Pokémon role in Discord and the channels appear. They are the fastest way into eBay Pokémon flipping because the pricing work is done before you see the alert; you are just deciding whether 57% under is worth £2,556 of your money today.
What members hunt with it
The listings that make money on eBay are the ones other buyers never see. These are the searches members run most, with the reason each one works.
Misspelled brands
addidasnike air jordonstone iland
Nobody searching the correct spelling finds these, so they sit unsold and go cheap. eBay search takes several spellings in one query, like (addidas, adiddas), so one monitor covers them all.
Vague titles, strong photos
trainers size 9mens jacket large
Sellers who do not know what they have describe it badly. The photo tells you it is a £120 jacket listed as "coat".
Job lots and bundles
job lot legopokemon bundlebundle mens clothes
Bought as one price, sold as ten listings. The margin is in the split.
Untested and spares or repair
untestedspares or repairno charger
A large share of "untested" consoles and phones work. Set the search link to "for parts or not working" with a low price ceiling and let the alerts come.
Sealed product at retail
lego 10300 sealedpokemon booster box sealed
Retired LEGO and sealed Pokémon listed at or under retail by sellers clearing out. A set-number search with a retail-price ceiling and "sealed" as a whitelist word catches them.
No-reserve auctions ending soon
no reserve99p start
The one place an auction-format search earns its keep. Watch endings at odd hours when fewer buyers are online.
The one rule
Set the price ceiling from the sold price, not the asking price. Take what the item actually sells for on eBay, subtract eBay's fees and postage, subtract the profit you want, and that number is the ceiling. Then every alert that arrives is a buy, and you stop deliberating.
Knowing what it will sell for
An alert is only useful if you know the resale value in the seconds you have. Three tools cover it:
- Price Check, built into the same Discord panel: choose a condition, type the title, add whitelist or blacklist words if you need them, and it returns the live average sold price. Do it once when you set the monitor up and you know your ceiling.
- Sole Scan in the RP app, for trainers: scan the barcode or enter the style code and it shows eBay, Laced and StockX prices by UK size, with profit per size. Built for outlet runs, just as useful for an eBay alert.
- eBay sold listings as a sanity check: search the item, tick "Sold items", and look at the last few sales, not the highest.
Members also post what is selling and at what margin every day in the community, and the £50,000 breakdown lists the brands that did the work across Vinted and eBay.

Frequently asked questions
What is an eBay bot?
In reselling, an eBay bot is software that watches eBay for new listings matching filters you set (keyword, price, condition, category) and alerts you the moment one appears. It is a monitor, not something that bids or buys for you. Resellers use one because underpriced Buy It Now listings sell within minutes of going live, and whoever sees them first gets them.
What is the difference between an eBay bot, an eBay monitor, eBay alerts and an eBay sniper?
An eBay monitor and an eBay bot are the same thing: software that watches for new listings. eBay alerts are the notifications it sends. An eBay sniper is different: it places a bid in the last seconds of an auction. RP's tool is a monitor. It finds underpriced listings and tells you; it does not bid, and it is most useful on Buy It Now items where speed decides who gets it.
Why are eBay's own saved searches too slow for reselling?
eBay's saved-search emails are batched, often arriving hours after listings go live, and the filters are limited to eBay's own search options. By the time the email arrives, a mispriced Buy It Now has usually gone. A monitor checks continuously, applies your exact filters and sends you each match individually within seconds.
How fast is the RP eBay monitor?
Matching listings arrive in your Discord DMs within seconds of appearing on eBay. The exact gap depends on the category and how busy eBay is. Unlike the RP Vinted monitor, we do not claim a head start over the eBay app itself; the advantage on eBay is filtering and instant delivery, so you are not refreshing search pages.
Does the eBay bot buy or bid for me?
No. It sends you the listing with a direct link. You open it and buy. There is no auto-bidding and no autobuy on eBay. If you want one-tap buying, the RP Vinted monitor has it; eBay does not allow it and we do not offer it.
What filters can I set on the RP eBay monitor?
You paste an eBay search link, so anything eBay's own search can filter is carried in it: category, condition, price range, Buy It Now or auction, free postage, and so on. On top of that you can add whitelist words that must appear in the listing title. Newest-listed sorting is applied automatically. Each member can run up to 5 monitors.
What should I search for on eBay as a reseller?
The listings other buyers miss: misspelled brand names, vague titles like "trainers size 9" with a strong brand in the photo, "job lot" and "bundle" listings, "spares or repair" and "untested" electronics that usually work, and sealed LEGO or Pokémon product listed at or under retail. Set the price ceiling below resale value minus fees and postage, and everything that arrives is already profitable on paper.
Does the eBay monitor work outside the UK?
No. The eBay monitor only watches listings with a UK item location, which is where UK resellers buy. If you want a monitor that works in every country, the RP Vinted monitor covers every Vinted market.
Do I need a computer to use the eBay bot?
No. Alerts arrive as Discord DMs, which work on phones, tablets and desktops, and the link opens straight in the eBay app. Most members run everything from their phone.
How do I know what an item will sell for on eBay?
Press Price Check in the RP Discord, pick a condition, type the item title, add optional whitelist or blacklist words, and it returns the live average sold price. For trainers, Sole Scan in the RP app shows eBay, Laced and StockX prices by UK size with profit per size. Members also share what is selling and at what margin every day.
How much does the RP eBay monitor cost?
It is not sold on its own. It is included in Resellers Paradise membership at £25 a month, alongside the Vinted monitor with autobuy, the Depop monitor, discount monitors for 20+ UK retailers, in-store stock checkers, the RP app, guides and a community of 1,000+ UK resellers. No tiers, cancel any time. Code WEBSITE takes 20% off the first month.
Is there a Pokémon eBay monitor?
Yes. Resellers Paradise runs two shared Pokémon channels, one for singles and one for sealed product, that check every new eBay listing against recent sold prices the moment it goes live and post the ones that are under market, showing the listing price, the estimated market price and the percentage under, with links to the listed and sold history. Pick the Pokémon role in Discord and they appear.
Is there an eBay reselling Discord in the UK?
Yes. Resellers Paradise runs a Discord community of 1,000+ UK resellers where the eBay, Vinted and Depop monitor alerts are delivered, members share flips daily, and the RP team answers questions. It is rated 4.97 out of 5 from 545 verified customer reviews on Whop.
